The Community
For most of the people, coffee is present in different moments of the day. For example,
waking up in the morning would not be the same without nice cup of coffee. Same with that time of the day in the afternoon after lunch, where our body feels tired and not able to finish the day. The solution is in a cup, a hot cup of coffee. Despite the last idea, Coffee is mostly seen as a bitter drink that needs sugar or cream to be good, and it is only drink because of the caffeine. I realized that Kamloops has a very few coffee shops where the quality of the drink is good. Stores like Starbucks and Tim Hortons rule the coffee business, and they darken the cultural value that these small entrepreneurships. This is why I would like to create a small tourism enterprise that does tours around Kamloops showing the quality coffee and the culinary art that it may represent in the Kamloops community.
Coffee Drinkers and Small Coffe shops
Most of the people start their day with a coffe cup. This is a activity that will promote the Coffee drinkers learn how to:
- Sample Coffee
- Identify good quality of coffee
- Healthy practices
- Creative Drinks
Kamloops Coffee industry is mainly ruled by two big companies that are not focused in the coffee quality. For this reason, the few places that sell a good taste and art through a coffe cup are unique and special.
The small coffee shops is the second community that will be represented. Specifically,

The Opportunity

The main objective of this places is not only selling, but making from a cup of coffee a valuable experience. For example, Amplified Cafe says in its web page “In 2015, the visionary founder, Daniel Houghton, conceived the idea of establishing a venue dedicated to showcasing the finest coffee available.”
Small coffee shops will have the oportunity of promoting their products to an audience that will make them be more renowned.
Coffee drinkers
There is a potential opportunity of learning great practices for coffee drinkers, and maybe, those that have never drink coffee before.
The objective with this guided tour is that does who participate change their perspective of what coffee truly is, and adapting to their lifes coffee practices that are more enjoyable.

The Experience
The activity consists of a small tour of coffee tours . The clients will taste the coffee that
the business is using now, while they try to identify the flavours that the coffee have
(vanilla, fruits, chocolate, and the million other flavours and the million possible flavours that may contain.). Finally, the barista will show the technic for making drawings in the cappuccino with an expresso machine. There are certain
steps like:
- texturize the milk
- make the texturized milk uniform
- how to mix the texturized milk with the shot of expresso
- the technic for making the final drawing
I would also show a different method of making Arte Latte without an expresso machine.
This is because an expresso machine is truly expensive, but this will show that you do not need one for making a delicious cappuccino with all the drawings that you imagine.
While this tour, I would like to explain a basic guide about the coffee.
