While the other wineries may have a larger profile, with more PR marketing on social media platforms and the internet, the Sagewood Winery experience provides the perfect opportunity to fully represent the diverse talent and craftsmanship of local winemakers in Kamloops. The Experience
Embark on an unforgettable journey through the heart of British Columbia’s wine country with the Sagewood Winery experience. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Kamloops wine trail as you indulge in three unique experiences that promise to delight your senses and leave you with lasting memories. This immersive experience not only highlights the amazing wine Sagewood has to offer, but also provides an engaging educational opportunity.
Beginning in mid-August and lasting until mid-October, at $25 + applicable taxes per person, our 90-minute tour has time slots available 7 days a week starting as early as 11:00 am, extending until the final tour of the day starting at 3:30 pm, we have made flexibility at the Sagewood Winery experience key to accommodate your schedules.
Our Wine Tasting room, however is open on May 4, and before harvesting season begins mid-August, guests still have the opportunity to try our wines at $10 per person with 20 minute time slots also available 7 days a week, also starting at 11:00 am, with the last slot at 4:40 pm.
Starting off with the Vineyard Tour, it allows guests to discover the secrets behind our exceptional wines. Guided by our knowledgeable staff, learn about the elaborate parts of grape cultivation, as well as the unique aspects of the local soil with the breathtaking views of the Thompson Valley in the background.
The Grape Picking segment will allow guests to have a hands on experience to participate in our winemaking process. The Grape Picking segment isn’t just about getting your hands dirty – it’s an invitation to become an integral part of our winemaking story. What better way to connect with our wines than by personally selecting the grapes that could end up in your glass? With 100% of the grapes used in our wines grown and handpicked in our very own vineyard, every grape you pluck carries the potential to become a component of our award-winning wines.
We will then move onto the main Wine Tasting part of the tour, guests will have the opportunity to try various wine samples of many diverse flavours that Sagewood has to offer. From the crisp and aromatic notes of our Riesling to the refreshing citrus flavours of our Kerner, Gewürztraminer Brut Style, and Rosé, each wine offers a unique experience capturing the essence of the Thompson Valley. For red wine enthusiasts, our selection includes a bold and velvety Red Blend, the smooth and elegant Pinot Noir, and the rich and complex Cabernet Franc. Elevate your tasting experience with our Sparkling Wine, or indulge in the decadent sweetness of our Dernier Foch desert/late harvest wine. With such a diverse array of varietals and styles, there’s something to suit every taste and occasion at Sagewood Winery.
